Known for their fluid psychedelic grooves and hypnotic live performances, Texan trio Khruangbin returns to Australia after their biggest year yet. The 2024 tour for their latest album A LA SALA kicked off at Coachella, followed by a sold-out US tour and festivals throughout Europe.
Since forming in 2010, Khruangbin’s sonic journey has been emphatically its own: shrugging off genre expectations as they explore funk, disco, soul, surf rock and dub. With Laura ‘Leezy’ Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson, Jr. on drums, they have gained widespread acclaim for their mesmerising, mostly instrumental sound and collaborations with artists such as Vieux Farka Toure and Leon Bridges.
