Hania Rani Australian Tour Announced

Back to

Hania Rani returns to Australia for five unforgettable evenings at Melbourne Recital Centre, Fremantle Arts Centre as part of Perth Festival, Sydney Opera House, and Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre as part of Adelaide Festival, from 21 February - 1 March 2025.

As one of the world’s most transcendent modern pianists, Hania Rani is best known for her contemporary classical compositions, sound installations, and award-winning film scores. Conservatory trained, she brings a unique blend of classical elegance and modern influences that continue to radically transform tradition.

Captivating audiences with her enchanting and ethereal sound, Rani effortlessly blurs the lines between ambient, minimalism, and house, distinctly layering rhythmic pulses, ripples of piano, cascading melodies, and her delicate voice.

Regularly performing in concert halls across Europe, Rani’s mesmerising live performances have gained her recognition world-wide, including her highly streamed 2022 performance at Les Invalides in Paris (garnering over six million views) and 2024’s compelling performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert.

Rani released Ghosts in 2023. Blending a lifetime of musical experience into a unique cosmic soundscape, the album features notable collaborations with Patrick Watson, Ólafur Arnalds and Duncan Bellamy (Portico Quartet), and draws inspiration from artists as diverse as Enya, The Smile, James Blake and Pink Floyd.

Rani’s debut album, Esja (2019) – a mesmerising solo piano collection – was released to international acclaim and garnered four prestigious Fryderyk Awards, including ‘Best Debut Album’ and ‘Best Alternative Album’. Her follow-up sophomore album, Home (2020) – introducing her vocals and subtle electronics to her repertoire – also earned her the ‘Best Composer’ at the Fryderyk Awards, and a place in Rough Trade's ‘Albums of the Year’.

Originally from Gdansk (Poland), Rani now divides her time between Warsaw and Berlin.

Speaking on her Australian tour Rani says: ‘I am delighted to be performing in Australia again. It is a thrill to go back to this beautiful continent and I can't wait to share the music from my album Ghosts with you at last! Expect a wonderful light and visuals show, and some new tracks.’

Hania Rani returns to Australia for four mesmerizing performances from 21 February to 1 March 2025.
